For me, my mom's cooking is the best. Besides the fact that I'm usually not in the mood to eat her cooking, I still love it.
To be honest, there is a huge wall built between me and our kitchen (except for the refrigerator, of course). I do not cook! Maybe instant food, I do but me holding a knife and slicing carrots, potatoes, and stuff.. Never.
But guess what, I eat a lot more than you think and see. My waistline is actually 26. It is 26 and I'm not kidding. Whenever I see photos of good food, I starve myself from calm to drooling. Crazy, but true!
There were times before and still happening that I would dream of living in Ice Cream Land. For example, The Candy Land on Katy Perry's California Girls Music Video. I daydream of having a bowl banana split on my lap while reading a book of just lying on my bed. And the fact that my cousin and my other relatives are claiming that I have "bulate" in my tummy, in reality I do not, are so jealous of me being so skinny even if they feed me a whole building of ice cream.

A 5year old Camera
Yey! Today I got to buy the book that I wanted, which was Paper Cuts(by Pam Pastor). Thanks to my mom. I only asked for one, but I got two new things I could drown myself into for the next couple of weeks. Yey me!!
One more thing, the other day I found an old kiddie camera(not digital, old camera) while I was looking for something I could use to make hideous artcrafts from toothpaste boxes and other small boxes. I thought it didn't work so I got a refund from the store in states from where we actually bought it as a present for my 11th birthday. My 11th birthday. The other night, I tried to open the camera but I couldn't so I took some double A batteries because it was what I needed to make it work and guess what, it freaking did!!! After 5years of stocking it up my room, it finally worked. All I needed was a "Double A Battery, L R6". It freaking has to be "AA LR6". That fugly camera made me suffer.
But now, I'm cool with it. This afternoon, me and my mom took it to Island Photo so they can take a look and see what's wrong with my kiddie camera. Say.. they couldn't put new film because they couldn't put a new film!! It broke my heart. I don't wanna to use digital camera because I wanted to use vintage cameras. I appreciate vintage too much. So I made a fugly face but I know they wouldn't notice it because of my unpredictable facial expressions.
Well, hopefully the film from my camera can be developed so I could have several memories I could hold on to the day that camera was reborn from the dead.

Just a thing or two...
So it's been quite a while since my last post and yet, I still haven't got the photos I needed for my blog and other stuff. It sucks yeah I know..
So last Sunday, which was 15th of May, we had a little celebration in our home because it's fiesta in our place. So happy there's gonna be a lot of people again. No dorky me wishes to the mirror asking for a faster way for Christmas to arrive (it is pretty insane!!). There's lots of food, not spaghetti but pancit(bihon). Very yummy, actually! Then there's salad and more. For our main dish, Mechado, a yummy Filipino recipe; beef drowning in sauce, the way I, we kids like it. So I was the first to eat because I couldn't take my eyes off all the dish and my stomach was crying for food, so my mom agreed. I was almost done when The Adam's Family(we called them that) arrived. They're all there, but not my other cousin who joined a mountain hike (I can't remember the mountain's complicated name). I really didn't mind them arriving, I was busy eating. I chewed like they are gonna grab my food.. Nah just kidding! They came in, blah blah blah. chat with my mom, with me and with the newest dog, HATCH. Cute name, right? The breed of the dog: half Askal*, half Shiatsu.
Oh wait, I have a picture of Hatch.... (source: My cousin's account)

So here's Hatch when she was a baby. They got her with eyes closed so it is pretty fun to have seen this little cutie open her eyes for the very first time. A couple of months later...
This is Hatch when she arrived at our place for the first time. Some say she looks like a German Shepherd but no, she is not a German Shepherd dog.
So there. I can't tell you everything yet. But the story about fiesta goes on... It is a long one actually. So, stay tuned!

End of Summer Specials
So it's been quite a while since the day I got to dress up for some serious occasion and I've been broke for 3 months(no school, no allowance). So it is official: I miss going to school. Even my other friends does or they hay summer activities, and I don't. Just the worst of the worst summer ever. Oh, how I'd wish I just took my mother's advice and applied for the summer job at our city hall, I could've been stuck in a 4 cornered room with tons of melting ice together with some of the other permanent folks working there. I'm being roasted alive here!
Okay, so I've been busy looking for a really good(great, actually) book to buy before summer ends. I just finished a book called, Crush Du Jour by Micol Ostow. It took me a day(or less) to finish the book. It's just a short novel about a girl's way to her man's heart(which she thought was through the stomach). They love cooking so it wasn't really difficult for her to put the cherry on top of her life.
I'm a bored, broke kid!
Tomorrow, it's Mother's day. And I don't have any idea on how to make this day special for my momS. Yes, moms with a capital S. See, well you can't actually see it but I'm an adopted child(adopted by my real mother's auntie). To be honest, there's this Hundred Years War going on between them. It's complicated but that's the most facts I could lay on the table.
Woopie! Mother's Day Special, how am I suppose to make it special if I have no idea what to do?! My head's currently focused on what book should I buy. Mmmmmm . . .
I think I'd go on buying for my foster mom. Then for my real mother, I don't really know yet. Maybe we'll celebrate it today? Can you please help me? Ideas?
Sadly, I don't cook. I'm not a master in our kitchen, you know. I cook, the most basic things in the world: rice, instant noodles and canned goods. I mean, that is not even cooking, right? You just heat it up for it's already cooked(well, not really cook, cook). You get the idea.
So that's what I've been up to this whole summer. To be honest, the reading part was not planned. I just felt like reading because I read it in a magazine! Well, thanks to that magazine my summer's not a total bore! And hey there, please help me think of something that would make Mother's Day special for my mothers? I'm a bit lazy to do a lot of work, but I guess I'll make an exception. It's mother's day anyway.
